The new Tamalpais High School performing arts building is a dedicated theatrical facility for the school's well established drama program. It features an intimate "theatre in the round" performance space, fully equipped with a tension grid, control booth, and technical ledge. The building includes modern audio-visual and theatrical lighting control systems normally found in university or public entertainment venues, giving the Tam High students access to even greater technical learning opportunities.

The backstage area doubles as a prop construction area and the second floor houses the department's faculty and program offices. A large double-height entry functions both as a lobby during performances and multi-use classroom when classes are in session.

The building includes complete campus telecommunications connections, along with campus video, clock/speaker, fire alarm, and energy management connections.  A programmable lighting control system also helps control the back of house and exterior spaces, while interfacing with the theatrical systems for seamless house lighting control.
